Why This Exists
A personal hub for work that does not fit in one box.
DrewJacobs.ai exists because my work does not fit neatly into a single traditional law firm brand. Through Jacobs Counsel, I work with athletes, creators, founders, startups, sports businesses, gaming companies, and entertainment clients. Through Jacobs Legacy Counsel, I help families, parents, professionals, and business owners protect their assets and plan for the future.
The connecting thread is legal strategy for people building something meaningful: a company, a career, a creative asset, a family, a legacy, or a body of work. This site is where those threads come together.
I did not want one generic law firm brand.
A founder negotiating a venture deal, an athlete reviewing an NIL contract, and a parent setting up a trust for their children are not looking for the same type of legal brand. They need different entry points, different language, and different experiences. But they all need serious legal judgment, clear structure, and a lawyer who understands what they are trying to build.
Splitting the work into two brands — Jacobs Counsel and Jacobs Legacy Counsel — lets each audience find the right front door without me pretending to be everything to everyone under one generic name.
The common thread is protection and leverage.
My work is about helping people protect what they are building, structure it correctly, avoid avoidable risk, and create legal infrastructure that supports growth. That might mean a contract, a trademark, a company formation, an estate plan, or a trust. It might mean a strategy conversation before a big decision.
The tools change. The underlying principle does not: good legal work creates clarity and optionality. It gives people room to move.
AI is part of the operating system.
I am interested in using AI responsibly to improve legal workflows, education, intake, research, and client experience. It helps me move faster, communicate more clearly, and build systems that scale without adding unnecessary overhead.
AI is not replacing legal judgment. It is a tool in the background, not the advice in the foreground. DrewJacobs.ai is not an AI lawyer. It is the personal site of a real attorney who uses modern tools to do better work for real clients.
This site is the connective tissue.
DrewJacobs.ai connects my brands, writing, thinking, projects, and public-facing work. It is the place where someone who has heard my name, read something I wrote, or been referred to one of the firms can understand the full picture.
It is not a replacement for either firm. It is the context behind them.
